Skin Treatments with Advanced Electrolysis
Diathermy can be used for the treatment of many skin conditions,
This is an effective treatment in the removal of unwanted skin blemishes and vascular conditions. An electrical current delivered through a very fine needle into the skin, cauterising the targeted tissue or capillary. The body’s healing response is triggered and it naturally eliminates the damaged blemish.
Advanced Electrolysis can help the following problems:
TELANGIECTASIS (Red Capillaries)
Telangiectasias appear when the tiny capillary blood vessels that feed the skin are expanded into the skin surface producing blotchy red patches. The underlying cause is weakness of the capillary walls caused by ageing, sun exposure, smoking, heat &cold, spicy food and alcohol. Broken capillaries are also more prevalent among individuals with thin or sensitive skin or people suffering from skin problems like Rosacea or severe acne.
Milia are small white bumps that appear on the skin. They are usually grouped together on the forehead, nose and cheeks, although they may appear elsewhere.
Milia are tiny, white, lipid -epithelium plugs which contain keratin deposits and often present as hard, solid lumps. Although harmless, can be persistent and require treatment to clear up.
Derived from skin cells, skin tags are a common skin condition that can appear anywhere on the body, but are frequently found on the neck and face, or in areas of friction, such as armpits, under the breast and groin. Skin tags composed of loose fibrous tissue, forming single or multiple distributions that are often hyperpigmented. They appear with a neck like a mushroom and vary in size. You may have a genetic predisposition to skin tags and many people find they develop more as they get older.
CAMPBELL de MORGAN SPOTS
Campbell de Morgan spots, also known as cherry angiomas, are bright red, circular or oval in shape and small-usually ranging in size from a pinpoint to 4.5mm. Some appear smooth and even with your skin, while others appear slightly raised. They most often grow on the face, torso, arms, legs and shoulders. They are benign lesions that don’t cause any problems unless frequently traumatised, continue to enlarge or cause cosmetic concern.
Age, genetic factors, pregnancy, exposure to chemicals, certain medical conditions and climate are thought to contribute to the cause of their appearance.

Helen is so welcoming and accommodating, she made what can be an embarrassing situation very comfortable. The results have been great and whilst I appreciate the service and expertise I receive when visiting Helen, I am happy to say the results mean my visits are occurring less frequently.
I am a 25-year-old male with a mono brow. I have tweezed it for years and wanted to get rid of it. After finally plucking up the courage to do something about it, I am well on the way to losing the dreaded mono.
Andrew, Herne Hill
As a 45 year old male, I had ear and nose hair that I was tired of plucking. Fortunately, I found Helen. She explained that due to the thickness of my hairs, it would probably take about a year of treatments (once a fortnight initially, then monthly). A year later, the hair has stopped. I was really impressed with Helen’s professionalism, she would explain what she was doing and why she was doing it, which was very important to me. What separates Helen from her competition is that she truly knows how her customers feel about unwanted hair and she enjoys helping them get rid of it and seeing the results.

My electrolysis experience with Helen has been unparalleled. Helen is highly skilled, caring, and honest – I trust her assessment of my skin and know she has my best interests, not my wallet, in mind. I walk out with minimal skin irritation (if any) and NO scars, pits, etc. I highly recommend Helen for permanent hair removal.
I came to Helen about a year ago, wanting laser hair treatment on my full legs. Since my hair was darker and coarser on my lower leg, it worked wonderfully. The upper leg was a little more difficult to treat since the hair is lighter there. Although there was success, especially with ingrown hairs on the backs of my thighs and darker hairs near my bikini line I followed up the laser treatment with some electrolysis and I have had wonderful results.
